Maybe it’s because we’re in the biz, but we can’t help but get excited by beautiful paper products. That’s why BirdDog Press, a Lyons, Colorado-based company that specializes in letterpress, has us buzzing.

This small collaborative design studio blends traditional craftsmanship with new technologies to create some really gorgeous designs — using tree-free and post-consumer recycled papers, vegetable inks, recyclable photopolymer plates and one very cool vintage press.

Discover Whistler PRIOR 2010
Experience the Discover Whistler PRIOR 2010 Winter Package before the world arrives! Four Seasons Resort Whistler has teamed up with local partners to provide guests the true Olympic experience.

Fuel up with an athlete’s breakfast in Fifty Two 80 Bistro and then head off to the races.

Every Olympian needs his or her top performance gear to carve it up on the slopes, so begin with a click or strap into a complimentary pair of skis or snowboard by PRIOR. Better yet, take them home! Hand-crafted in Whistler, this custom equipment has assisted athletes with bringing home the gold in many international events.

Next it is off to the slopes to test the skills on the Dave Murray Downhill, the official Men’s 2010 Olympic Downhill run. Be a slope side spectator and watch athletes conquer the track during the 2009 World Cup sliding events.

After a hard day’s work, kick off the boots and enjoy a little Après Ski cocktail in Fifty Two 80 Bar, then unwind with an Après Ski massage. At the end of the day, retire to the mountainside luxury of a Four Season’s room and cozy up by the fire.

This package starts from $2010 CAD per person based on double occupancy and includes; an interpretive guided venue tour of the Whistler Sliding Centre & Olympic Park, three day ski pass, Ski Concierge service, complimentary skis or snowboard by PRIOR (inclusive of free shipping within Canada and the US), $200 Food and Beverage or Spa Credit and five nights of AAA Five Diamond accommodation.

The package is available November 26, 2009 – 2010 Ski Season (blackout dates during the games and weather permitting).

Highly decorated French designer Jacques Grange may live far from the American West — pictured here is his Portuguese retreat — but his rustic-chic style would certainly fit right in here in the high country! You can browse much more of his work in the book “Jacques Grange: Interiors” by by Pierre Passebon (Paris: Flammarion, 2009). We’re sure you’ll be inspired!
