Renting your gear at the base area is a great idea.

Monarch has a new computer based rental system. Before you can get your rental skis, you fill out the rental form, with size and type of gear you want, submit this right on their computers. By the time you walk over to the rental counter the stuff is there waiting.

To do this, you must first find the kiosk sign and the bank of computers. From there it is very nice and convenient.
