Highlights from ML’s Aspen Music Festival Encore Reception

Every year toward the close of summer, we head to Aspen, Colorado, for an enchanting afternoon of classical music under the open-air Benedict Music Tent—the grand-finale performance of the season by the Aspen Music Festival & School—followed by an evening of wine and bites with some of the AMF‘s most faithful supporters. Catch a few party highlights here (hopefully they get you in the mood for some festivity of your own this weekend), and many, many thanks to Decorative Materials, Charles Cunniffe Architects, Myers & Co., Crystal Glass Studio and the Aspen Music Festival & School for helping us host the affair.

It doesn’t get much better than music, food and wine in the mountains

Every year, we look forward to making the beautiful trek to Aspen, Colorado for a late summer afternoon concert put on by the Aspen Music Festival & School in the open-air Benedict Music Tent. Then follows the icing on the cake: the Encore Reception, held in a tent just outside the Festival, for supporters of the Festival & School.

This year, creative goddesses Michelle and Lisa of Corky Woods green boutique in Basalt decorated the tent with colorful eco-friendly goods from their store. (If you haven’t gotten the chance to visit the shop, go. I stopped by the Basalt store on my way out of town and spent a nice long while perusing their wares–everything from green finishes and building materials to one-of-a-kind home accessories and fashion items.) On top of that, Chef Jimmy Naddell of Bravo Fine Catering whipped up gourmet appetizer bites for party-goers to savor. Here are a few photos from the evening; click here to see more.
